HYDERABAD: Worked up by her three-and-a-half month old baby girl’s frequent crying, a woman allegedly killed her by thrashing her. Police filed a case on Vani after her husband T Venkanna raised suspicion against her for their baby Hemalatha’s death.
Chaderghat police said Venkanna and Vani were married 10 years ago and have a son and two girls. Hemalatha was born this January.
The girl was frequently falling ill and whenever she was taken to the hospital, doctors found internal injuries on her head. On March 28, she fell sick again. It was then Lingamma, a maid, told Venkanna that Vani has been beating up the baby girl. On Monday, the girl died and a case was registered against Vani.
