NEW DELHI: Two men have been arrested for supplying fake UAE employment visas, solving 17 cases of fake UAE visas.

In the year 2017, 17 FIRs were registered on the complaints filed by immigration officials wherein it is alleged 17 people were deported from Dubai Airport, UAE, as all were found using fake UAE employment visas. The UAE Embassy in India confirmed that the visas were not genuine.

The deported passengers were told the police an agent named Javed Ali supplied the visas for Rs 1 lakh each. They also told the police that Ali had been advertising for easy UAE employment visa through Public Address System in Kaptanganj in Uttar Pradesh. Ali was absconding after that.

DCP (airport) Sanjay Bhatia said that on Thursday a team of police officials from the Indira Gandhi international airport arrested Ali. Ali divulged the bank account details and eventually his associate Manoj Kumar Sharma was also arrested. The third associate Prince Yadav, who printed the fake visas, is on the run.
