Car rams eight people\, may have been deliberate

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Eight people were injured when a car hit pedestrians in Sunnyvale, California on Tuesday (April 23) in what may have been a deliberate act, police said.

The injured, who had been in the middle of a crosswalk at the time, were transported to nearby hospitals.

Police said the driver was in custody, but did not release information on a cause or motive.
