Specialists from the departments of medicine, surgery, orthopaedics, paediatrics, dermatology, dentistry, music therapy and yoga therapy screened the participants. About 200 investigations were carried out and the results were provided.

A special counselling session was also organised for the needy. District Collector T. Arun inaugurated the camp, which was supported by Rotary Club of Pondicherry Central.

The camp was held under the auspices of the Student Council 2018-19 of MGMCRI to create health awareness. It was also a curtain raiser for SPECTRA, the fourth inter-medical collegiate cultural and sports festival, which commenced on Tuesday and will conclude on April 27.
