Girls team of senior secondary school win the soft ball competition
Ludhiana- Girls team of government senior secondary school (Gill Village) secured an easy win over the B.C.M focal point team with the score of 8-0 in the final match of the 22nd softball district championship matches, emerges winner, which was concluded at Punjab Agriculture University school ground here . Amanjot Kaur of government senior secondary school scored the maximum points for the wining team, and also became the player of the match. During semi-final match of tournament- Government senior secondary school team single handedly defeated Government high school team of Sherpur Kalan with the score of 10-0. They entered the final of the district level tournament match. In the quarter-finals, BCM defeated DAV Public School by 4-2 and Guru Nanak Sahib Public School defeated Teja Singh Sutantar Memorial Senior Secondary School by 10- 0 to secure the berth in the finals.In the match for third position, DAV Public School won over Teja Singh Sutantar Memorial Senior Secondary School by 13-2. Speaking on the occasion, Harbir Singh Gill, member of softball association, said that around 60 to 70 softball enthusiasts across the district featured in the school. “Some among them would be selected for forthcoming national championship that will be held in first week of December”
