Two arrested for duping 17 Army job aspirants

JAIPUR: Sikar police arrested two for allegedly defrauding around 17 youths in the name of getting them recruited in the army.
According to officials, the two arrested are from Maharashtra and allegedly duped the youths of approximately Rs 40 lakh.
The two arrested have been identified as Bhushan Chapde and Vijay Hoolgunde, both of who are in their 20s and natives of Maharashtra.
Kamal Kumar, the investigating officer from Neem Ka Thana (Sadar) said, “A case was registered by one of the victims of the alleged fraud in February. After a detailed investigation and surveillance, we arrested these two. Fake documents for army recruitments etc. were also found on them.”
According to the officials, 17 youths have come forward alleging fraud by the accused in the name of army recruitment and authorities claim that this is the just the tip of the iceberg.
“Most of the youths are from the Shekhawati region and we are positive the more cases will come to light in further investigation. This appears to be work of a gang and it is likely that more arrests are likely in the future,” added Kumar.
While Vijay has been sent to two days judicial custody, the other accused is still being interrogated by the police. A case under IPC section 420 (cheating), 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust) and 120 B (punishment for criminal conspiracy) has been registered.
