The police on Sunday arrested seven persons in connection with the murder of a 35-year-old history sheeter E. Vasu alias Vasudevan, in a crushing unit at Perumukkal, near here.
Police sources said the arrested, identified as V. Kanagaraj, M. Sugan alias Suganraj, K. Premkumar, S. Sakthivel, V. Janakiraman, S. Janakiraman and M. Sarathkumar, allegedly murdered Vasudevan owing to previous enmity. The gang attacked Vasudevan with sickles and knives killing him on the spot in a crushing unit on Sunday.
