Andhra Pradesh State Urdu Academy will conduct month-long coaching classes in spoken and written Urdu for students, said Joint Collector-2 and District Minority Welfare Officer P. Baburao.
In a statement on Tuesday, Mr. Baburao said the coaching would be imparted at centres in Vijayawada, Jaggayyapet, Vuyyuru and Pedana from April 29 to May 28, in two batches, each comprising 30 students.
One batch will attend classes from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. while the second batch, from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. On June 23, Idre-Adabiath-Urdu, an organisation at Punjagutta in Hyderabad, would conduct an entrance exam for admission to sixth class from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in spoken and written Urdu, he said.
Local faculty
He said faculty for the training classes would be taken from the respective local places. Interested candidates should apply online by 5 p.m. on April 26. They should be residents of areas not farther than 10-12 km from the coaching centres, must have completed MA/B.Ed and B.Ed/M.Ed in Urdu medium, must be below 40 years and should have good communication skills in Urdu.
The applicants would be called for an interview on April 27 and those selected, would be paid ₹15,000 towards remuneration, said Mr. Babu Rao.
