“nubia Red Magic 3 has been tipped to come with a 90Hz display that will adjust the refresh rate based on the usage, along with a built-in fan”
nubia’s upcoming gaming smartphone, the Red Magic 3, has been in the news for quite some time now. It was recently spotted on the 3C certification website that revealed the 30W fast-charging capability. More recently, the brand’s CEO Ni Fei has stated the Red Magic 3 will have a hybrid cooling system which will combine liquid cooling, air cooling, and a turbofan. Now, ahead of the April 28th China launch, it is learnt that the phone will have a 90Hz screen that will automatically adjust the refresh rate based on the usage.
The phone will also let users switch the refresh rate to 60Hz, depending on the intensity of the games being played. Noted tipster Roland Quandt claims the phone will come with active cooling, thanks to a real rotating fan, which can be heard once it is working, inside the device. This will help dissipate heat during extended gaming sessions. The display might also come with enhanced eye protection features.
As for the other specifications, the gaming smartphone is expected to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, which might be accompanied by up to 12GB of RAM. It is also speculated the device will have a 4D vibration system to provide better haptic feedback while gaming. The handset has been teased to pack a battery capacity higher than 5,000mAh, with 30W fast-charging support. Unfortunately, that’s all we know about the upcoming nubia gaming handset at the moment, but with the launch right around the corner, we don’t have to wait too long. The company has already confirmed the phone will be launched in India in May.
