Kalyan: Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray slammed Congress chief Rahul Gandhi and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leaders for their record of the past 50 years, which he alleged is full of corruption and malpractices. Uddhav said this while addressing a public rally at the Gungopal ground in Kalyan on Tuesday evening in support of Kalyan Lok Sabha candidate Dr Shrikant Shinde.
He claimed that Rahul Gandhi has stated that the Congress manifesto is committed not to remove the Article 370. “I promise that the Shiv Sena, BJP, and RPI alliance will remove Article 370 from Jammu & Kashmir,” said Uddhav.

He said that Kalyan is a domain of the Sena and he has faith in the people that they will support the party. “I am confident that the people believe in us and they will vote for Shrikant Shinde. The opposition party does not have any Prime Minister candidate but we Maha Yuti has PM Narendra Modi,” said Uddahv.
He further said the election commission should bar those candidates who speak against the security of the country. “Any opposition leader who makes fun of the security of our nation should be charged with treason and such candidates should be barred from contesting the election. We need strict Model Code of Conduct,” Uddhav said.
