Bhopal: This election should be based on the real issues of people, we have to give votes to those who talk in the wider interests of the people. About 300 people of the state gathered in Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday and took up this point. The shared programme was organized by 30 organizations.
Rajendran of Azim Premji University said that the unemployment crisis is increasing in the country. He told that 55 lakh men lost their jobs between 2016 and 2018. Nikhil Dey of the Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan said that the biggest problem is that efforts are being made to destroy transparency, accountability and grievance redress mechanism in the country.
He said that 75 whistle blowers and Right to Information activists were killed in the last five years, despite this the Whistle Blowers Protection Act was not implemented although it had been passed.
Sachin Jain said that the aim of Jansarokar initiative is to focus process of general elections on facts and basic issues.Asha Mishra of Bharat Gyan Vigyan Samiti said that as a citizen we believe that we should review the government’s work and on the basis of that, citizens should decide on the electoral process.
Anjali of Eklavya said that on the basis of 5 years of work, the government should review the work and choose the leadership. Social worker Rajendra Kothari said that we swear that Bhopal will not let the environment of hatred and violence flourish.
