After numerous leaks and teases, Meizu has finally announced the Meizu 16s smartphone at an event in China. The latest flagship comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, 6.2-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with 91.53 percent screen-to-body ratio and in-display fingerprint sensor. Meizu claims the display can filter out 33 percent of blue light and also supports DC dimming to reduce eye strain.

Meizu 16s Price

The Meizu 16s 6GB+128GB variant is priced at RMB 3198 (around Rs 33,300 approx.), while the 8GB+128GB costs RMB 3,498 (around Rs 36,500). The 8GB+256GB is priced at RMB 3,998 (around Rs 41,500). The phone will be available for pre-orders on Meizu official website starting 23rd and will be for sale on 28th April 2019. It comes in White, Carbon Black, and Phantom Blue colours.

The Meizu 16s sports a 6.2-inch full HD+ (1,080 × 2,232 pixels) display with 18.6:9 aspect ratio, 500 nits brightness and 91.53 percent screen-to-body ratio. The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform octa-core processor with Adreno 640 GPU. The phone is offered in three variants – one with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, another with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB of storage. It runs on Flyme OS 8 based on Android 9.0 Pie and features Hyper Gaming mode which allocates system resources while consuming less power.

Moving to optics, the Meizu 16s rocks dual rear cameras consisting of a 48MP primary Sony IMX586 sensor, F/1.7 aperture with LED flash and a 20MP secondary telephoto lens with Sony IMX350 sensor. On the front, there is a 20MP Samsung 3T2 sensor for selfies and video calls. The phone comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers. Connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C. There is a 3,600mAh battery with 24W mCharge fast charging support onboard. It measures 151.9×73.4×7.65 and weighs 165g.
