Sachin Tendulkar celebrates 46th birthday with fans in Mumbai - See Pictures

Sachin Tendulkar celebrated his 46th birthday on Wednesday and the Indian cricket team legend decided to share the occasion with his fans. Tendulkar had a cake cutting ceremony in Mumbai where he interacted with his fans.

Bollywood personalities like Lata Mangeshkar, Anil Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor wished the iconic cricketer by calling him a “legend of legends”.

With 15,921 Test runs, Tendulkar, who made his international debut at the age of 16 in 1989, is the leading run scorer in the longest format of the game beside also topping the ODI charts with 18,426 runs.

Many celebrities took to their Twitter account to send birthday wishes to the Indian cricketing legend. Tendulkar’s former teammates Mohammad Kaif, Harbhajan Singh, VVS Laxman and others also wished him on Twitter.

Only 16 when he debuted, Sachin played sublime cricket throughout his cricketing career, which lasted for 24 years. Tendulkar amassed 18,426 runs in ODI and is 4,192 runs ahead of the second positioned batsman Kumar Sangakkara.

Moreover, he is atop the list of ‘most runs’ in the longest-format, accumulating 15,921 runs.
