Drug peddler arrested with 500 intoxicating tablets in Ludhiana

LUDHIANA: Static Surveillance Police team for Lok Sabha Elections has arrested a drug peddler after it recovered five hundred intoxicating tablets from him. The accused was identified as 22-year-old Nirbhay Singh of Jaloor in Barnala.

Investigating Officer of the case, Hardeep Singh said that a police team of Status Surveillance Police team for Lok Sabha elections was carrying out checking of suspicious vehicles and persons in Lohat Baddi area on Monday night. He added that during checking, the team saw a Maruti Sx4 car coming from the village towards Raikot and signaled the driver to stop the vehicle.
Police officer said that during checking of the vehicle, they recovered 500 tablets of Clavidol SR from the dashboard of the vehicle. He added that after the recovery the accused was booked under various sections of NDPS act at Sadar Raikot Police station and arrested in the case.
