'I'm grateful': Lindy Chamberlain holds no bitterness for being wrongfully jailed over the murder of her nine-week-old daughter as she relives her ordeal on Anh's Brush With Fame

She's remembered as the mother who was wrongly sentenced to life in prison for the murder of her nine-week-old daughter, despite protesting that a dingo had taken her baby.

33 years after her acquittal, Lindy Chamberlain will relive her ordeal as she sits down with Anh Do on Anh's Brush With Fame on Wednesday night in a rare interview.

Now known as Ms Chamberlain-Creighton, she was heavily pregnant when she was jailed in 1982 after her daughter Azaria disappeared on a camping trip to Uluru in 1980.

In a preview of her emotional conversation with Ahn, she addresses her subsequent campaigns for reform in the Australian judicial system.

'If I hadn't gone through all that we wouldn't have the laws that we've got in Australia right now, we've got independent forensic science now as a result of that trial,' she told Do in a preview obtained by News Corp.

'What's happened to me has been able to make it better for other Australians and for that I'm grateful.'

Ms Chamberlain-Creighton told police Azaria was wearing a matinee jacket on the night she disappeared.

The jacket was not found until Englishman David Brett fell to his death while climbing Uluru and landed beside the matinee jacket that was vital to her defence.

Speaking to Alan Jones on 2GB, the now 71-year-old said her faith in God got her through her wrongful imprisonment.

'When you know the truth, you don't need to be sidetracked by other people who are ignorant of it.'

'My belief in God gives me resilience.'
