G-Power’s BMW M2 Competition Is A Beast: 670 HP, 205 Mph, 0-62 Mph In 3.2 Sec,

At this point, it feels like every major tuning company has something in store for the BMW M2 Competition. However, it’s G-Power that you’ll want to pay attention to, as they have come up with a performance kit that unlocks a massive output.

By modifying the turbochargers, adding an aftermarket exhaust system, remapping the ECU and making a few other adjustments, the tuner has obtained a whopping 680 PS (670 hp / 500 kW) and 860 Nm (634 lb-ft) of torque. The 3.0-liter twin-turbo, six-cylinder thus delivers an extra 270 PS (266 hp / 199 kW) and 310 Nm (229 lb-ft) of torque compared to the stock unit.

You can forget about mixing it with M3s and M4s, because this M2 Competition now has higher aspirations.

It goes from naught to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.2 seconds and maxes out at just a little over 330 km/h (205 mph). That’s only 0.2 seconds slower than the discontinued 670 PS (661 hp / 492 kW) and 760 Nm (561 lb-ft) of torque Ferrari 488 GTB, which has an identical top speed.

Opting for these upgrades won’t burn a massive hole in your pockets either. For the entire bundle, G-Power is asking about €20,000 ($22,467). Add that to the base price of the M2 Competition in Germany and you could upgrade to the larger M4 Coupe, whose 3.0-liter, straight-six engine, with twin turbocharging, produces 431 PS (425 hp / 317 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. But then you won’t be able to challenge any exotics machines. Decisions, decisions…
