Horrific footage has emerged of the moment a drunken thugs bashed a woman with a brick after a group set upon her boyfriend.
Alexander Warrell, 20, and a group of three other men attacked the couple on Anzac Day last year in Mandurah, Western Australia.
The victim was on Smart Street Mall when she was hit on the head with a brick from behind while trying to protect her boyfriend.

'You approached her from behind, she was out cold and unconscious before she even hit the ground,' Judge Bruce Goetze said this week after sentencing Warrell to four years in jail. He will be eligible for parole after two years.
The woman's boyfriend had been attacked earlier when three bricks were thrown at his head.
He suffered a deep cut to his head and she was taken to hospital with a fractured skull, Nine News reported.

Warrell said he'd been drinking heavily before the attack and couldn't remember the assault.
The three other men involved have also been sentenced.
Jayden Christopher Vynuchall-Larratt, 24, was sentenced to 18 months in prison, while Travis Hugh Payne was sentenced to eight months.
A 20-year-old received a $1,000 fine for his involvement.
