Digvijaya Singh urges chief electoral officer to take action

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, Former chief minister Digvijaya Singh reached the office of the chief electoral officer (CEO) after filing of nomination papers and urged him to take action regarding fake voters. He submitted necessary proofs in this regard. Singh said names of 36 lakh fake voters were removed during state assembly elections on the complaint of Congress.He said there are 80,000 fake voters in Bhopal.

More than 10 people are registered as voter on the same address. As per rules, there can be no more than 10 voters on one address. He said if our complaint is found to be true then case would be registered against the concerned BLO.

The CEO said physical verification would be done during distribution of voter slip and BLO would be accompanied by BLA for assistance. Singh was accompanied by Shobha Ojha, qadvocate Vinit Godha, Vikas Jain and others.

Earlier MLA Laxman Singh said, “Our main focus will be development and employment. This will be poll plank. In reply to Pragya Thakur comment’s on ATS chief late Hemant Karkare, Laxman Singh said, “Hemant Karkare is martyr.”

Former union minister Suresh Pachouri said, “Main agenda is development and employment. With these issues, we will go to people to solicit votes.” In reply to Sadhvi Pragya Thakur comment’s on ATS chief late Hemant Karkare, Pachouri said, “Karkare made supreme sacrifice while fighting terrorists.”

Minister Arif Aqueel said, “Pragya Thakur was instructed to make comments on ATS chief Hemant Karkare. She has been told to insult Hemant Karkare. So, she is doing to generate controversy in election.”

Meanwhile, Congress is in attacking mode despite Pragya withdrawing her statement on martyr Karkare. Congress has launched a campaign on social media titled BJP with Kasab conveying that Pragya’s statement proves that BJP was supporting the killers of Hemant Karkare. Congress leaders are leading scathing attacks on the campaign on national security launched by the BJP leaders across the country.

Digvijaya visits traders in New Market

Former CM Digvijaya Singh visited the traders in New Market and held talks with them regarding their issues and problems. Welcoming Digvijaya Singh, the traders said there are 1200 shops in New Market and traders want respect and dignity. He said as CM he had ended inspector raj. He said Centre’s BJP government is creating atmosphere of fear and terror. He said in the state Kamal Nath is running government of love and harmony. He told New Market traders that if they have any problem then it should be resolved. He said as MP he would continuously hold dialogue with traders and resolve their problems.
