Public warned not to approach man wanted over Gosnells shooting
Police have warned the public not to approach a man wanted in relation to an incident in Gosnells where shots were fired at a home on Sunday evening.
Police said they received several calls from Gosnells residents about 9.35pm, concerning multiple gunshots heard near the vicinity of Rainbow Court.
It was found the house had been shot at a number of times, and police said it was likely the two parties involved knew each other.
Nine News Perth reporter Anne Maree Leonard said she had spoken to witnesses who called police.
"At this stage this is what we know: that two people had had an argument and a number of shots were fired outside the home and there was also a number of shots fired inside the home," she said.
"Local residents who called triple-zero last night have told me that they heard a number of shots that lasted around a minute.
"They said they were too petrified to leave their homes."
Police said they wanted to speak to Brian James Kennedy, 36, in relation to the investigation.
He is described as being about 185cm tall, fair skinned with a medium build and short brown hair and brown eyes.
Police said it was likely Mr Kennedy was armed, and warned the public not to approach him.
He is believed to be driving a 2013 white Toyota Hilux, with a registration plate of 1EGL291.
Members of the public who see Mr Kennedy are asked to call police on 131 444 immediately.
