Islamic Forum slams terror attack in Sri Lanka

CHENNAI: The Islamic Forum for Promotion of Moderate Thought has condemned terror attack on churches and hotels in Sri Lanka on Sunday that claimed the lives of more than 320 people and wounded around 500 innocent people.


In a statement, forum secretary-general A Faizur Rahman said, “The brutal blasts have all the hallmarks of a fiendish plot to divide society on communal lines and destabilise the region. A thorough investigation must be conducted to not just identify and legally punish the terrorists who masterminded this heinous crime, but to knock down their nefarious setup.”


He expressed condolence on behalf the forum to the families of those who lost their lives.
