The colour is synonymous to Indian wedding attire as a lot of people opt to wear this shade on their big day. Red is easy to style, especially since the variations of this colour is vast. Bollywood divas also turn to this colour time and again, especially during weddings and the award season. Recently Janhvi Kapoor and Kajol were seen wearing Red sarees at an award function. Besides them, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Karisma Kapoor have all turned to red sarees on one occasion or another.

Janhvi Kapoor was recently seen at Dadasaheb Phalke awards in custom Manish Malhotra saree. The Dhadak actor wore the simple red saree with a sleeveless blouse. She styled the attire with a two-tiered choker neckpiece and kept her makeup subtle with nude lips. The young actor wore her hair in a loose braid and ditched the heavy earrings for the night.
Deepika Padukone chose the colour red for the Ambani wedding. The Chapaak actor wore the ruffled saree with a halter blouse and a multi-string gold necklace.
Kajol was also present at the DadaSaheb Phalke awards. She chose a Shivan and Narresh white and red saree and styled it with a red blouse. She also chose to wear a two string neckpiece with green embellishments while keeping her makeup light with a dash of pink lips.
Alia Bhatt has been seen in a number of red looks over the last few months. She chose a bright red saree by Sabyasachi for an award show. On another occasion, the Kalank actor was seen wearing a red and green saree styled with a single flower maang –tikka.
Karisma Kapoor also chose to wear her red saree at the Ambani wedding with a gold jacket on top. She accessorised with a pair of gold chandbalis and wore her hair in a sleek ponytail.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s rendition of the red saree included a tribal pattern blouse styled with silver oxidised earrings and a sleek ponytail.
