China's CNPC says has closed 4 Xinjiang gas fields for maintenance SHANGHAI/SINGAPORE: * China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC), the country's largest oil and gas producer, said it has closed four gas fields for annual maintenance in the Jungar Basin of the western region of Xinjiang

* The four gas fields are Ke75, Pen5, Mahe and Kelameili, the company said on Tuesday in its official newspaper

* Maintenance began on April 15 and will last until June 22, CNPC said

* CNPC carries out such maintenance on the fields at similar times every year
