The metal bar and banner missed the 68-year-old businessman by a few inches and apparently no one was injured when the accident took place at Virgin MiamiCentral Station in Florida. In the video, Branson can be seen holding strings and the moment he releases it, both the bar and banner comes down.
The business magnate shared the details of the accident on his company's website, calling it "close shave 77". "From where the crowd was standing it looked absolutely fine, but from my angle it was a very close call indeed!" he stated.

This is not the first time that the Virgin Group founder had witnessed a scary situation. Branson, in his autobiography, listed "75 close shaves" which he had experienced. Recalling "close call 76", he said that it had happened "when Hurricane Irma hit" and "one tonne (heavy) bath flew and crashed right where" the businessman was sitting.
