Seven IAS officers, including three on Central deputation, were promoted as special chief secretaries.

Senior bureaucrats Adhar Sinha, Shalini Mishra, Somesh Kumar and A. Santi Kumari were promoted as special chief secretaries on Tuesday and three other officials, Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, Vasudha Mishra and I. Rani Kumidini, who were on Central deputation, too were promoted to the apex scale of IAS (level-17).

Orders issued

Chief Secretary S.K. Joshi said, in the orders issued on Tuesday, that the promotion of Mr. Somesh Kumar was subject to confirmation from the department of personnel and training.

Sabyasachi Ghosh of 1994 batch has been promoted above super time (level-15), while Yogita Rana, Lokesh Kumar D.S, T. Vijaya Kumar and P. Satyanarayana Reddy have been promoted to super time scale category. Several other bureaucrats – M. Champalal, D. Ronald Rose, Gorrela Survarna Panda Das, B. Bharati Lakpathi Naik, B. Vijendra, K.Y. Naik, P. Venkatarami Reddy of 2005, 2006 batches – have also been promoted to selection grade, while D. Divya, Bharati Hollikeri, Hari Chandana Dasari, Preeti Meena and Amrapali Kata of 2010 batch have been promoted to junior administrative grade.

Five officers of 2015 batch – Anurag Jayanti, Gowtham Potru, Pamela Satpathy, Rahul Raj P.S. and Bhavesh Mishra have been promoted to senior time scale level. The promotions have been given after they were approved by the competent authority.

Meanwhile, several IPS officials have also been promoted. Six officials of 1994 batch – Apte Vinayak Prabhakar (on Central deputation), K. Sreenivasa Reddy, B. Shivdhar Reddy, Soumya Mishra, Shikha Goel and Abhilasha Bist – have been promoted to the rank of additional director general of police, while Akun Sabharwal, G. Sudheer Babu, T. Prabhakar Rao and P. Pramod Kumar of 2001 batch have been promoted to the rank of inspector general of police.

IPS officers of 2005 batch – Avinash Mohanty, P. Viswa Prasad and M. Ramesh – have been elevated to the rank of deputy inspector general, while V. Siva Kumar, V.B. Kamalasan Reddy, S. Chandrasekhar Reddy and A.R. Srinivas of 2004 batch have also been promoted to the same rank.

Seven IPS officers of 2006 batch – Kartikeya, K. Ramesh Naidu, A.V. Ranganath, V. Satyanarayana, B. Sumati, M. Srinivasulu and A. Venkateswara Rao – have also been promoted to the senior scale.
