Check Out The Eight Colors You Can Get For The New Hyundai Sonata

The all-new 2020 Hyundai Sonata recently celebrated its North American debut at the New York Auto Show where it captured a lot of attention for its four-door coupe looks.

Adopting a more adventurous design than its predecessor, the new Sonata will be sold in the United States with two different engines. The first of these is a turbocharged 1.6-liter with 180 hp and 195 lb-ft (264 Nm) of torque mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, rated at 31 mpg by the EPA. Those looking for a four-pot without forced induction can opt for a 2.5-liter engine with 191 hp and 181 lb-ft (245 Nm) of torque that has been rated at 33 mpg.

As Hyundai has yet to announce pricing for the new Sonata, an online configurator tool for the sedan hasn’t been released. However, the Hyundai website has been updated to show the eight different shades and color options available for the sedan.

The color palette starts off with Quartz White and for those that like subtle finishes, Hyundai also offers Shimmering Silver Pearl, Hampton Gray, Portofino Gray, and Phantom Black. Customers who want to make a statement will be able to purchase the new Sonata in Glowing Yellow, Calypso Red, and Stormy Sea (blue). The Sonata displayed in New York was painted Calypso Red.

Hyundai has loaded the 2020 Sonata with a plethora of safety features which are sure to excite buyers. There is Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist and Advanced Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go all provided as standard. Among the optional extras are Lane Following Assist, Safe Exit Assist, Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot View Monitor, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, and Remote Smart Parking Assist.

Production of the 2020 Hyundai Sonata will start in Alabama this fall before local sales begin in October.
