BJP on Tuesday fielded from seat in Punjab, while retained for seat, which she won by a margin of nearly 70,000 votes in the last election.

In the 2014 polls, Kher had won seat by defeating Pawan Kumar Bansal of the party by a margin of around 70,000 votes. The party has also fielded Bansal once again from the Union Territory seat.

Pradesh Committee (PPCC) had won seat, which went to by-poll in October 2017 after the demise of BJP

Jakhar had defeated Swaran Singh Salaria, a business tycoon, of the BJP by over 1,90,000 votes. The Congress party has repeated Jakhar from seat this time too.

Deol, son of who recently did a roadshow for his wife and sitting in Mathura, had joined the BJP earlier in the day today.

Punjab, where 13 seats are at stake, will go to polls on May 19, the last phase of seven-phased polling. Chandigarh will also go to polls on May 19. The counting of votes will take place on May 23.
