A judge has slammed an ecstasy user and warned he is gambling with his life after two festival goers were found dead from a suspected overdose.
Magistrate Barbara Tynan delivered the reality check to Ryan Allen Murray, 24, at a Queensland court on Tuesday.
She referenced the deaths of Ebony Greening, 22, and Dassarn Tarbutt, 24, after their bodies were found in a tent at the Rabbits Eat Lettuce Festival over the weekend, Courier Mail reported.
'Do you have a death wish?' Ms Tynan asked Murray.
'Two kids are dead at a music festival over the weekend, they went to bed (and) they just didn’t wake up the next morning.'

Ms Greening and Mr Tarbutt, from the Sunshine Coast, were attending the music festival with a group of friends over the Easter long-weekend.
The couple were found dead in the tent they were sharing at 9.30am on Monday after failing to meet up with friends.

Ms Tynan criticised an unemployed Murray for risking his life and taking a known 'poison'.
She said she failed to understand why people continued to risk their lives and take unknown substances.
'So you bought something from some bloke in a pub, some bloke you didn’t know and whatever it is you bought, you don’t know what is in it, so you are going to put it in your system?'
The magistrate said there was no way of being certain what a user was buying from a dealer.
She told the 24-year-old Murray it was 'time to grow up'.
If he didn't, she warned there are two likely ways his life could end: he would either die, or end up in jail.
The magistrate convicted Murray of possession of ecstasy, six breaches of bail and one count of contravening a community service order.
He had already served 43 days in custody.
An apologetic Murray said he did not have a death wish and had learned his lesson.
