
GoAir offers flight tickets from ₹1,375 in new sale

New Delhi: Budget carrier GoAir is offering flight tickets starting from as low as ₹1,375 on selected routes. The 7-day booking period of GoAir’s latest offer, which started on 19 April, ends on 25 April, GoAir mentioned on its website. The travel period under this offer is till 31 August 2019. The starting fare of ₹1,375 is applicable on Bagdogra-Guwahati route, the carrier noted.
The travel periods and fares are different for the routes under GoAir’s recent offer. Starting fares on other GoAir route under this offer include Ahmedabad to Jaipur starting at ₹1,499 ( travel period: 3 July 2019 to 9 July 2019), Guwahati to Bagdogra at ₹1,649 ( travel period: June 2019), Ahmedabad to Mumbai ₹1,799 (travel period: 5 August 2019 to 18 August 2019), Ahmedabad to Hyderabad at ₹1, 799 ( travel period: 5 August 2019-31 August 2019), Ahmedabd to Mumbai ₹1, 899 (travel period: 1 July 2019 to 31 July 2019), Ahmedabad to Bengaluru at ₹2,599 (travel period: 15 July 2019 to 18 July 2019), Bengaluru to Lucknow ₹2, 799 ( travel period: 5 August to 31 August 2019), Bengaluru to Lucknow at ₹2,799 (travel period: 3 August 2019 to 9 August 2019), Mumbai to Bengaluru at ₹2,799 ( travel period: 3 June 2019 to 30 June 2019) Mumbai to Bhubaneswar ₹3,099 for travel period between 5 August to 31 August 2019, among other domestic routes.
In another offer, GoAir is offering international flight tickets from ₹7,000. The tickets under this offer can be booked till 24 April 2019.
The latest GoAir discount comes amid the Jet crisis that has sucked out capacity from the market and has pushed up fares. Airfares on domestic routes, especially those connecting non-metro cities, remain high. The average ticket prices have gone up in the range of 10-15% across various sectors, according to reports.
The cumulative traffic of domestic carriers stood at 171.25 million for the full year to March 2019, registering a growth of 14.25%. Budget carrier IndiGo continued to be the largest player with a market share of 46.9 percent ferrying 54 lakh passengers during March, while its closest rival SpiceJet was a distant second with 13.6% traffic pie.
