More than one lakh new names from Gurugram district have been added to the final electoral list post revision. As per the final numbers shared by the district administration, there are now 11,61, 407 voters in Gurugram, out of these, the number of male voters is 6,12,715 whereas there are 5,48, 669 females voters.

Nine assembly constituencies spread across three districts fall under the Gurgaon Lok Sabha constituency, which includes Pataudi, Badshahpur, Gurgaon, Sohna, Nun, Firozpur Jhirka, Bawal, Rewari and Punahana assembly constituencies. Pataudi, Badshahpur, Gurgaon and Sohna fall in Gurugram district.

The district administration accepted applications from prospective voters till April 14, after which the final list was processed.

A total of 23 members from the transgender community have also enrolled for voting, of which highest number—11—are in Badshahpur. “Transgender voters in the district have also enrolled this time. They can choose the others option and cast their vote,” district election tehsildar Sant Lal said.

Voting for all the 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana will be held in a single phase on 12 May.

Except the JJP-AAP candidate, all candidates fielded by the mainstream political parties have already filed their nomination. JJP-AAP candidate Mehmood Khan will be filing his nominations on Tuesday, the last day for filing nominations. Candidates will have time till April 26 to withdraw their candidature.

For polling day, the district administration will be introducing a pink polling booth and a PWD booth in each assembly constituency. While the pink booth will be manned by women, the PWD booth will be manned by specially-abled.
