Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium to hold zero shadow day workshop on Apr 24

BENGALURU: Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, Bengaluru will be holding one-day workshop on "Zero Shadow Day", for students studying in class 8th and above on April 24, 2019 between 10.30 am and 3.30 pm.
This will cover the concepts related to Zero Shadow Day such as rotation and revolution of the earth, importance of specific latitudes such as equator, Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn and measurement of local time.

The event is being held in association with Jawahar Planetarium Allahabad, Aryabhata Foundation, Bhopal, B.M Birla Planetarium, Chennai, Swami Vivekananda Planetarium, Mangalore, Nehru Planetarium, New Delhi, B.M. Birla Planetarium, Jaipur and Regional Science Centre, Srinagar.
