In a fresh setback to the Congress in Telangana, another of its MLAs Monday announced his decision to quit the party and join the ruling TRS.
Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy met the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi's working president K T Rama Rao here, TRS sources said.
Reddy is the 11th Congress MLA to leave the party and join the TRS.
In a statement, Reddy, MLA from Bhupalapally, appreciated the TRS government's development and welfare initiatives.
Reddy said he has decided to join the TRS after consulting all well-wishers.
Announcing his decision to quit Congress, he said he would resign from the MLA post "if necessary."
The Congress had won 19 Assembly seats among the total 119 in the assembly polls held in December last.
