TNPSC invites applications for drug inspector, analyst posts

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has invited applications for vacant drug inspectors and junior analysts posts in government drug testing labs.
They are eligible to draw a pay of Rs 36,000-1,15,000 every month.
Last date for receipt of online application is May 12.
A total of 49 posts are vacant in the state health department, according to tentative vacancy chart released by the TNPSC.
Those willing to apply for inspector posts should have a degree in pharmacy and related recognised courses.
For analyst posts, a degree in pharmacy/pharmaceutical chemistry or chemistry with one or two years experience is mandatory.
Interested and eligible applicants should pay Rs 150 towards registration and apply online by another Rs 150-200 through TNPSC's official website (http://www.tnpsc.gov.in)
Fee and age-limit relaxations are applicable for candidates belonging to reserved communities.
The selection process involves a written test containing two papers – a subject paper and general studies -- on June 23.
Exam will take place at Chennai, Madurai and Coimbatore.
Shortlisted candidates will have an interview and final selection will be made based on overall performance.
