Says time will decide his future

Congress MLA from Sangareddy T. Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy on Monday turned philosophical on the reports of his plans of switching loyalties to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) stating that only time would decide about it.

In an information chat with reporters here, he said he had refuted the reports on his plans to defect to TRS several times but such such reports are cropping up time and again. That’s the reason why he had decided to respond to such reports.

On being put the same question again, he said only the time would decide whether he would remain in Congress or join TRS. He faulted those who defected to TRS for criticising the Congress as it was cadre-based party and leaders would crop up as when required. Stating that he did not know why the Congress MLAs had defected to TRS, he said defections are taking place in spite of counselling being done by TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and CLP leader M. Bhatti Vikramarka.

Getting philosophical further he said the politicians will have no survival difficulties as long as people and farmers have problems as all systems revolve around those problems. He reiterated his allegations on former Minister T. Harish Rao on the issues of diversion of Singur water and medical college at Sangareddy and said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao have nothing to do with the two issues.

Mr. Reddy, whose name is making rounds again as one among the three more Congress party legislators likely to switch over to TRS, said the defection of legislators would not have any impact on the rural local bodies elections.
