Declared! HPBOSE HP Board +2 Result 2019 LIVE updates: Priety Birsanta tops with 98.8%, pass percentage at all-time low

The Himachal-based Government schools have displayed better result than private. This year, 31 students in the merit list and 27 students of private schools also made it to the list.

Breaking the series of wins by since students, this year's topper is from commerce stream. From the last two years, toppers have been from science stream. This year, Ashmita Sharma tops arts stream by scoring 96.4 % marks, Priety Birsanta tops commerce stream 98.8%,  and Anil Kumar tops science stream 98.6%.

A total of 49136 male candidates have appeared for the exam, of which 28,375 passed. Girls have this year too, outshone boys with 45,784 female candidates registered of which 30,574 passed.

Priety Birsanta topper scoring 98.8%

The pass percentage, the number of students clearing the exam has declined yet again. It has been on a downward slope since 2016.  It is a huge dip of nearly 7% from last year when pass percentage was 69.67%. In 2017, the same was 72.89% and 78.93% in 2016.

The pass percentage has touched an all-time low. The same has been declining since 2016. This year the pass percentage has been at 62.01%  

HPBOSE result declared for class 12 exam. Out of 95492 students who appeared in the class 12 exam, 55949 passed the same while over 16,000 have to reappear in a compartment or supplementary exam, as per the latest inputs. 

As the HP Board staff is uploading the result, heavy traffic has reached the site, making it unresponsive. In wake of this, the result has been declared but many candidates have said that they are unable to access the website. The problem is expected to be resolved by 1 pm, latest. 

As per the sources, the result is being uploaded and will be available anytime soon.

While the total os from 500 marks and candidates can score the perfect score too, In 2018, the highest marks scored were 489 by Pranjal Rana from Dhameta Government Senior Secondary School, Kangra.

Candidates need to score at least 33% marks to clear a subject as well as overall percentage of 33% to be declared pass.

Students who are unhappy with their answer sheets re-evaluated or re-checked may apply by depositing fees of Rs 400 and Rs 300 respectively. The dates will be announced soon.

The mark sheet so displayed on the computer screen as and when the candidates check their results will be considered as the provisional mark sheet hence students should take a print out and download the score-card for future reference. Additionally, students will get an official mark sheet from their respective schools. While the lateral might take time, provisional mark sheet is accepted during admissions as well.

The pass pecentage is the percentage of students cleared the exam over total students. For instance, 90% pass percentage would mean 90/100 students cleared the exam.

The pass percentage is on decline since 2016. While most expect a reverse trend this year, here is look at the last years' pass percentages

2018 - 69.67%
2017 - 72.89%
2016 - 78.93%

Last year the servers crashed as nearly one lakh candidates were trying to access their result. Hence here is the list of websites to check your result from, hobose.org, indiaresult.com and examresults.net. While the result might be available elsewhere too, but no other website is official.

The Himachal Board 12th result is announced in the last two weeks of April. In 2016 it was declared on April 26; in 2017 it was April 28 and in 2018 it was declared on April 24.

HPBOSE class 10 result is also due and the same is expected to be released by May, 2019. No official date has been set as of yet.

Talking to indianexpress.com, board officials had said that the result will be declared at 11 am on board's website.

The senior secondary exams were conducted from February 20 to March 2 for all streams of class 12.

Students can also check their results on cell phones by messaging the following details on 56263 — HP12 <space> roll number.

Though 2018 overall topper were from the non-medical stream in 2017, too the topper Ritik Kandoria from Rehan CRC Government Senior Secondary School – Kangra with 492/500 marks for Class 12 science stream. This year, if a science stream student tops, it would create a hattrick.

Medical: Pranjal Rana from Dhameta Govt Sr Secondary School (Kangra)secured 489 marks out of 500.

Non-medical: Sahil Kattna from Bagwara Govt Sr Sec School, Vikrant Rewal from Ungh Sundernagar Vardhaman Mahavir Public Sr. Secondary School (Mandi) topped the examination by securing 490 marks out of 500

Commerce: Inder Kumar from Sarahan Govt Sr. Sec School (Sirmour) by securing 483 out of 500

Arts: Akshma Thakur from Sujanpur Tihra MSC Sr Sec School by securing 479 marks out of 500

In 2018, most students had cleared the HP Board class 12 exam in the first division. Over 46,531 students secured first division, 18,337 students cleared the examination with the second division, and 3563 with third division.

Over one lakh candidates registered for the HP Board class 12 exam. In 2018, around 98,281 students have appeared for the board examinations of which 68469 students had cleared.

The overall pass percentage was 72.89 per cent in 2018 and in 2017 the pass percentage was 78.62 per cent. This year too, over 70 per cent students are expected to pass the exam.

After earlier speculations, the result date has been declared to be today at 11 am. Earlier, it was said to be announced on April 20, 2019 (Saturday). Candidates can check the same at hpbose.org.
