New Delhi: Video streaming service HOOQ launched its first original Hindi language production Bhak on Monday with the pilot episode of the series being available to viewers across the south east Asia region. The Singapore-based video-on-demand streaming service is a joint venture of Sony Pictures Entertainment, Warner Bros and Singapore Telecommunications Ltd. that has so far focused on American movies and television shows.
Bhak, the winner of HOOQ’s Filmmakers Guild Initiative, which allows writers and directors to submit entries, will launch its second episode on 25 April and consecutive episodes will premiere every Thursday.
“Today audiences across south east Asia and beyond are experiencing a more diverse range of content than ever before. Whether local, regional or international, consumers are being exposed to resounding and relatable stories that challenge conventions.
