Last Friday, Adele's rep confirmed she had split from Simon Konecki following weeks of breakup rumors
Following news of her split from Simon Konecki after nearly seven years together, Adele is focusing on the most important man in her life: her 6-year-old son Angelo.
“Adele’s son is everything to her. Her whole life revolves around him,” says a source in the Grammy winner’s social circle.
Though many celebrity divorces can become publicly contentious, the source says that is unlikely for the singer, who has always been fiercely protective of her family.
“I just can’t see her divorce getting messy because she’s so careful when it comes to her son,” says the source. “She’s always five steps ahead in terms of how a decision will affect him.”

The star, 30, slowed down her career following her latest tour, but even when her schedule was at its most packed, Angelo remained her top priority.
While doing school runs, the singer is “unrecognizable,” adds another insider. “She takes him to the park or on a hike and to birthday parties for his friends. It’s clear that she tries to create a happy and normal childhood for Angelo.”

Last Friday, Adele‘s publicist confirmed she and Konecki, 45, had split following weeks of rumors after the star was photographed recently without her wedding ring.

“Adele and her partner have separated,” the singer’s representatives Benny Tarantini and Carl Fysh said in a statement to the Associated Press. “They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”
