Katrina Kaif joins Akshay Kumar for Rohit Shetty's ‘Sooryavanshi’

After their recent blockbuster together, Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar are all set with their next titled, 'Sooryavanshi'. Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif will play the lead jodi. 'Sooryavanshi' will be Katrina’s sixth film with Kumar after hits like 'Namastey London', 'Welcome' and 'Singh Is Kinng'. The film is scheduled for Eid 2020 release, alongside Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 'Inshallah', starring Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt. 'Sooryavanshi' will be the fourth film in what has been described as Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. Akshay’s will be seen as an anti-terror squad officer in the film. His character was introduced in the final minutes of Rohit Shetty’s 2018 blockbuster 'Simmba', starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan.
