Ajinkya Rahane hasn’t had the best of runs in IPL 2019. He has managed just 213 runs in nine matches at an average of 23.66 and he has also been dropped as Rajasthan Royals captain. He has recorded his second least batting average in a season as a Rajasthan Royals player in the IPL.

However, Rahane can be optimistic about reviving his season as he is facing his favourite opponent - Delhi Capitals in his next match.

Rahane has been getting good starts with the bat but has not been able to capitalize on those starts. But, the opening batsman will fancy his chances against Delhi as he has scored the most runs against DC than against any other team in the IPL. He has the best batting average against DC than against any other current IPL teams. His strike rate and batting dot ball percentage is also the best against DC than any other opponent.

Rahane’s batting average of 61.55 against DC is also the third best by a batsman who has played a minimum of 10 innings. His run tally of 677 runs is the third most by a batsman in the IPL following Kohli’s 802 runs and Rohit Sharma’s 754 runs.

A total of five half-centuries has been scored by Rahane against DC in the IPL which is the second most by a batsman in the cash-rich league.

Rahane has scored a total of 168 runs against Delhi Capitals in Jaipur in four innings, at an average of 56.00. The Rajasthan batsman will be looking for another big innings against Delhi in Jaipur on Monday.
