Diabetes is a disorder mainly caused by the cells of the Pancreas. A person is said to suffer from diabetes when their blood has a high sugar level in it. Insulin is the hormone produced by the islets of Langerhans cells of the Pancreas. This hormone helps the glucose obtained from the food to enter into the cells and is used up as energy. The reason behind the level of sugar in the blood being so high is either the low production of insulin in your body or the cells of the body are unable to react to the hormone. In short, Diabetes isn’t a disease in itself, rather a disorder or symptom suggesting that something is wrong with your entire system.

There has been no treatment found to cure a person suffering from diabetes. However, one can always take the necessary steps to manage the level of sugar in their blood and stay healthy.

What are the different types of Diabetes?

How can Diabetes be managed in order to stay healthy?

  1. You should make the habit of exercising regularly which boost the muscles in your body to take up more sugar thereby reducing their level in the blood.
  2. By reducing the intake of carbohydrate-rich food (the main source of glucose) you can maintain the blood sugar level.
  3. Drinking plenty of water will keep you hydrated and also reduce the level of sugar in your blood.
  4. You should also try and control the stress level in your body, as excessive stress can interfere in the production of Insulin hormone resulting in high blood sugar level.

You should keep monitoring your blood sugar level on a daily basis by regularly consuming the medications and eating of proper food.
