Two youth were killed in a van-bike collision near Kulasekarapattinam on Sunday.
A group of 12 people left for Tiruchendur temple in a van to participate in the tonsuring ceremony of the child of Navaneethakrishnan from Vadakkankulam in Radhapuram taluk of Tirunelveli district.
When the van neared the Theethathapuram junction on Beach Road, it rammed a bike, which Balan and Dishan, both 19, were riding. Balan died on the spot, while Dishan died at a private hospital in Tiruchendur.
Esakkimuthu, 53, Valliyammal, 55, Murugan, 53, Murugan, 59, Nagammmal, 57, Pappa, 45, and Hariharan, 20, were injured.
