Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index dips; CG Power slips over 5%

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading lower in Monday's afternoon session.

The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.32 per cent down at 18,281.82 around 02:14 pm.

Shares of CG Power and Industrial Solutions (down 5.42 per cent), HEG (down 3.76 per cent), Suzlon Energy (down 3.67 per cent) and Graphite India (down 3.42 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 2.96 per cent), Finolex Cables (down 2.68 per cent), Bharat Electronics (down 2.49 per cent) and GE T&D India (down 2.37 per cent) too were trading lower.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 114.95 points at 11,637.85 while the BSE Sensex was down 335.41 points at 38,804.87.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 37 were in the red.

Shares of Reliance Communications, Marico, Reliance Power, Vodafone Idea, Jet Airways, PC Jeweller, YES Bank, Reliance Capital, DHFL, Suzlon Energy, Indiabulls RE, Dish TV India, JP Associates, Tata Motors, HPCL, NTPC, Ashok Leyland, Reliance Infra, PNB and IDBI Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
