A wabash valley family is celebrating the birthday of a young man who was tragically killed last year.

The garrett sands kindness project is hosting a community party and fundraiser to honor the teen.

It's happening tonight and everyone is invited!

Friday would have been friday would have been garrett sands' 19th birthday.

He died after he was shot at a house party a little more than a year ago.

Since then -- his mother -- jayna sullivan -- has organized a group to do random acts of kindness in his memory.

You can help raise money for the group at a bowling party tonight.
