French national dies while trekking at Velliangiri hills

Coimbatore: A 59-year-old French national died of cardiac arrest while trekking at Velliangiri hills here on Saturday night. He was identified as Arouldasse Massena of Rue de la Saone in Maurepas. He was living in Puducherry before moving to France. Massena had arrived here along with three others on Saturday. He suffered cardiac arrest and died on the spot while climbing the fifth hill. The body was brought to the plains on Sunday and was sent to the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital for postmortem. It will be handed over to the family on Monday.
Three pilgrims had lost their lives while trekking the hills in the last four months.TNN
