A 73-year-old man has been charged with allegedly trying to abduct a young girl from a holiday park.
Police were called to the park on Military Road near West Beach, west of Adelaide, at 11.50am on Friday after a young girl was allegedly approached by the man at the pool.
The man is accused of asking the young girl to walk away with him.
The girl's mother intervened and the man left the area, police said.
Following investigations, a 73-year-old Queensland man was arrested at a caravan park on Saturday. He was charged with attempted kidnapping and refused bail.
He is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
Guests of the holiday park were not informed of the arrest until Sunday, 7 News reported.
