TN engineering counselling to commence on July 3

CHENNAI: The online engineering counselling for over 1.75 lakh government quota seats would commence from July 3 this year, according to the tentative schedule released by the state government on Sunday.
Online registration for the counselling would commence from May 2. The last date for online registration is May 31.
The certificate verification will be held from June 6 to 11. Following the certificate verification, the rank list would be published on June 17, officials said.
Counselling for special categories including differently-abled will be held from June 20 to 22.
The online counselling will be conducted from July 3 to 28. The process will end on July 30.
There were doubts over the participation of Anna University in engineering counselling after the resignation of Anna University vice-chancellor M K Surappa from the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) committee.
Now, after the intervention of the state government, Anna University is likely to help the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE) to conduct online engineering counselling this year.
