Taruni Fair inaugurated at Taruni Madhuranagar metro station

The 60-day Taruni Fair, an exhibition dedicated to women, was inaugurated at Taruni Madhuranagar metro station on Saturday evening.

Speaking on the occasion, Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) Managing Director N.V.S. Reddy said the aim is to make available all the products that women and children use at the station, which was renamed Taruni Madhuranagar metro station a few weeks ago.

Parking facility

Talking about their plans for the space below the station, Mr. Reddy said they would construct a building whose half portion would be allotted for commercial activity, while the other half would be converted into a multi-level car parking facility. Shikha Goel, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crimes and SIT); D. Hari Chandana, Zonal Commissioner (West Zone), Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC); T.K. Sreedevi, Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration; Evita Fernandez, managing director of Fernandez Group of Hospitals; Karuna Gopal, president of Foundation for Futuristic Cities; and Uma Chigurupati, co-founder of Granules India were present at the inauguration.
