Search underway for missing kayaker in Gold Coast creek
There are fears for a Gold Coast man whose kayak washed up on the shore of a creek with its owner nowhere to be seen.
Chris Dicker, 28, was last seen going for a paddle in Tallebudgera Creek about 7am on Sunday, according to police.
His kayak was discovered on the western side of the Gold Coast Highway bridge by a member of the public around 1pm.
Police said it had some casual scuffs footwear in it but no paddle.
Authorities are concerned for Mr Dicker's welfare as police say he is intellectually impaired and has a medical condition.
An aerial sweep of the area along with searches of the nearby beach have found no sign on him.
He’s described as Caucasian with a slim build, light brown hair and blue eyes. Police urging anyone who sees him to contact them.
