Kate Middleton showed off a perfect curtsy once again!

The Duchess of Cambridge attended Easter services on Sunday, April 21, with the royal family and Queen Elizabeth, dressed in an elegant light blue coat and dress with a matching fascinator. Before the service at St. George’s Chapel with husband Prince William, Kate — now a pro at royal protocol — had a moment with the Queen, putting on a model curtsy.

With one foot behind the other, Kate bent her knees and smiled at the Queen, while also slightly bowing her head — exactly how Myka Meier, founder and director of Beaumont Etiquette says a curtsy should look.

Last year, Meier told PEOPLE that a curtsy should be subtle and that the deeper and longer you pause shows more respect and formality.

Kate’s etiquette did well, as today is also the Queen’s actual birthday!

The long-reigning monarch celebrated her 93rd birthday on Sunday and wore a light blue coat and hat that included a bright pink ribbon, matching her dress.

The royal family’s Instagram account shared a sweet birthday tribute for the Queen today, as did Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The video showed a series of photos, starting from when the Queen was first born and explained why the Queen has two birthdays.

On her actual birthday, the Queen celebrates privately with her family, but in June there is a public celebration for her official birthday.
