63-year-old doctor arrested for molesting girl

Picture used for representational purpose onlyMUMBAI: A 63-year-old doctor was arrested by the Khar police on Friday night for allegedly molesting his underaged neighbour. The incident occurred earlier this week, said a police officer.
In her police complaint, the 14-year-old girl said that she lived next door to the doctor and had gone to his place to collect spare keys to her house. "The girl's mother had given a spare set of keys to their house to the doctor. She had asked the girl to collect the keys from him," said the officer. "When the girl went over to his place, the doctor hugged and kissed her, making her uncomfortable."
When her mother returned home the girl narrated the incident. Her mother took her to the Khar police station where a case was registered under the Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. The police did not disclose the doctor's identity.
