Kanhaiya Kumar’s men thrash protesters

Kanhaiya KumarBEGUSARAI: A fight erupted during CPI nominee Kanhaiya Kumar’s roadshow in Korai village under Garhpura block of Begusarai district on Sunday after a few youths showed him black flags and raised ‘Kanhaiya wapas jao’ slogan. This outraged his supporters who were accompanying him in large numbers.
As the protesters kept shouting the slogan, Kanhaiya’s supporters thrashed them with bamboo sticks. They even chased away the protesters. However, a police team soon arrived and brought the situation under control.
Supporters close to Kanhaiya said the incident was part of a plan to defame him as BJP and its supporters were shaken by the tremendous support and goodwill Kanhaiya enjoyed among the electors.
Incidentally, Sunday incident was the third when black flags were shown to Kanhaiya or his roadshow has been disturbed since campaigning started for Begusarai Lok Sabha seat early this month. Earlier, a few youths had shown him black flags in Lohia Nagar of the town. He was also stopped during campaigning at Ramdiri in the district. His supporters had blamed ABVP activists for the Lohia Nagar incident.
